Birch sugar is a table sweetener based on xylitol. It is a sugar substitute of natural origin with 40% fewer calories (compared to conventional white sugar, 400 kcal per 100 g). It is obtained in Finland from hardwoods, mainly birch and beech, and comes from sustainable forestry. Birch sugar can be used like classic granulated sugar - warm or cold. Ideal for low-calorie cooking, baking and sweetening as well as for drinks, ice cream, muesli, jams, desserts and much more.

Birch sugar looks, tastes and sweetens 1:1 like sugar, but is metabolized completely differently in the body. It is recommended for a conscious diet and for diets, especially for sugar-free and reduced diets. Birch sugar helps maintain tooth mineralization1) and is therefore often used in the production of toothpastes and chewing gum. Note: A varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are recommended. Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect. Do not consume more than 30 g of xylitol per serving and no more than 50 g of xylitol per day. Do not give xylitol to pets, especially dogs.
