The 2014 Opus One opens with delicate aromas of florals, fresh herbs, and forest floor, leading to a rich blend of red cherry, blackberry, and black currant. Dark fruit flavors follow, accented by hints of baking spice and black olive. Fine, velvety tannins provide a smooth, complex structure, culminating in a fresh finish with a touch of mocha. While enjoyable now, this wine will continue to evolve beautifully over time.
