The Opus One 2021 opens with captivating dark fruit aromas of crushed cassis, blackberry, and black cherry, complemented by delicate hints of violet, vanilla, and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is bright and fresh, with concentrated flavours reflecting the aromas, and a rich, creamy texture from fine tannins. Notes of black tea, licorice, and dark chocolate lead to a long, lingering finish. With proper cellaring, this wine will evolve beautifully over the decades.
