Rossignol-Trapet
The Latricières Grand Cru vineyard first appears in the annals of Burgundy in 1508. It forms the transition from the Le Chambertin site to the Grands Crus of Morey St. Denis (even though there is a small Premier Cru site in between). Of the 7.35 hectares, 0.73 hectares are owned by Rossignol-Trapet. The vines are now 66 years old.
It shows a rather dark Pinot colour, toasted notes, spices and ripe dark berries on the nose. Very complex on the palate with plenty of depth, the ripe tannins give the wine structure and are always balanced by the extract.
