White poppy - This type of poppy is named after its white seeds, which have hardly any color pigments. White poppy is rarely cultivated and only yields about 2/3 of the usual harvest of blue or gray poppy. It also tastes very different from all other types of poppy due to its intense walnut flavor. The color of the seeds is light yellow to beige. White poppy can be used for cakes, tarts, roulades, parfaits and many other fine poppy-seed desserts.
