ARDBEG
Embark on a flavour adventure with Ardbeg "BizarreBQ", the Distillery's inaugural barbecue-inspired Whisky. Conceived from a wild idea, three distinct casks, the expertise of Master Distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden, and the grilling genius of Christian Stevenson, this mouth-watering malt delivers a meaty, peaty punch. Just like the art of grilling, fire is the secret ingredient here. A combination of double-charred oak casks, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and specially crafted BBQ casks imparts a sweet, tangy, and smoky flavour profile – the perfect companion for your BBQ adventures!

Nose: Mingling aromas of charcoal, soot, and smoky wood with hints of aromatic herbs and spices. Rise to treacle toffee, hickory smoked ham, and cinnamon-dusted espresso. A splash of water reveals sharp citrus and herbal notes like fennel and aniseed. Grilled artichokes and a hint of seared meat tantalize the senses, while the unmistakable scent of bonfire and BBQ embers lingers.
Tongue: The mouthfeel is alive with spice, like BBQ ribs smothered in chilli. A myriad of deep, warming smoke follows close behind in flame-grilled steak, chilli oil, cured leather and clove. Ginger, aniseed and tar crackle on the palate with an aromatic woodsmoke edge.
Finish: The massive, hot aftertaste lingers on and on, with more grilled artichoke, black olives and a sooty note that slowly simmers away.
