Château Larruau
Bordeaux Margaux wines tend to be deep ruby in colour, fragrant and floral, especially with notes of violet and lilac, and soft, silky tannins.
Less masculine and powerful than wines from other regions of Bordeaux, Margaux wines are generally more refined and elegant.
Château Larruau is one of those little nuggets that we taste and re-taste, always surprised by its concentration, density and finesse. It is a wine that could easily be a 5th cru classé, but which remains confidential, at a very affordable price for this level of quality, and that for our greatest happiness. Typical of the Margaux appellation, Château Larruau offers a wine of enormous concentration, which nevertheless reveals great subtlety, depth and finesse. Bouquet of red fruits and plum, fresh acidity, fruit and chocolate notes on the palate with beautiful tannins. A must to discover! The sunny and concentrated 2015 vintage will prove to be a fine vintage to keep but can be drunk now with a good opening.
