This is a deep Pinot fragrance like something out of a picture book. Nestled in the Grisons Rhine Valley near Fläsch, Gantenbein Winery has crafted exceptional wines since 1982. With a focus on quality, Martha and Daniel Gantenbein planted burgundy clones in their vineyards, producing only three wines, including an Pinot Noir that ranks among Switzerland's finest. It's deliciously sweet, fine palate, the complexity is enormous, tannins of the very highest quality, support the wine perfectly.
Nose: Wonderful terroir notes. Aromas of cassis, strawberries, cherries, peaches, vanilla, tobacco, dark chocolate, cloves, underbrush, orange zest, cinnamon, almonds, smoked meat, roses, and elderberry.
Tongue: concentrated and simultaneously highly elegant, deeply mineral, with a fresh character, endlessly layered, silky, juicy, precise fruit, a salty quality, finely spiced, unbelievably clear and gripping, with immense potential and an almost endlessly long finish.
