Chateau Belle-Vue
Grape variety: 100% Petit Verdot
Extremely dark purple with a black centre. Concentrated spicy bouquet with black Tasmanian mountain pepper, cassis and blackberries. In the second approach morello cherries and chocolate pralines. On the fleshy palate with very demanding, ripe tannins and a brilliant fruit sweetness in the extract. Plum skin and elderberry essence on the bundled, aromatic finish.

In addition to the Grand Vin, Château Belle-Vue produces a wine that has been unknown in Bordeaux until now: a single-varietal Petit Verdot! Normally a minor component of Bordeaux blends, the potential of this autochthonous grape variety is beautifully demonstrated here: lots of black fruit and plenty of tannin, which appears fine-grained and supple thanks to its high quality. A formidable storage potential can be expected.
