A very intense ruby red colour, Solaia 2016 stands out on the nose for its aromatic intensity and richness; notes of ripe dark fruit, especially blackberry and blueberry, combine with balsamic sensations of herbs and mint; sweet hints of cocoa and candyfloss alternate with spicy notes of white pepper giving the bouquet freshness and complexity. The palate is rich and enveloping with soft, silky tannins that convey elegance, character and an excellent expression of the fruit. The vibrant, long and very persistent finish hints at considerable ageing potential. A true rarity.
